A dense, golden-baked banana custard set in a hand-crimped shortcrust pastry, finished with a toasted nut crust that adds warmth and texture. Made from fresh, regionally sourced bananas with no preservatives — baked the same way since the 1990s.
This is the pie that started everything. The one people travel to Katong for. The one that gets brought to family gatherings, gifted to visitors, and carried back to Japan.
Order whole (uncut) for gifting and sharing, or sliced into 10 pieces if it's going straight to the table. Add a candle to mark a birthday or a milestone.
